What does delivery cost?

Orders under $42 carry a $6.95 delivery charge; at $42 and above there is none. Feeders travel to US addresses; we cannot post nectar feeders abroad.

When will it get here?

Allow 1-3 business days for packing and 5-10 business days in transit - 6-13 business days end to end.

Which style is easiest to keep clean?

Saucer feeders. The dish separates from the lid completely, so both halves can be scrubbed and rinsed in under a minute. Wide-mouth glass bottles are the next easiest.

Do ant moats really stop ants?

A moat filled with plain water is a physical barrier and it works while there is water in it. In summer it will need topping up every couple of days.

What if a glass feeder arrives cracked?

Photograph it before you unpack anything else and email care@abirdhaven.shop. Breakage in transit is replaced or refunded; the Refund and Returns Policy sets out the window.

Can I collect from the shop?

The Bird Store packs an order within 1–2 business days and the carrier takes 3–7 more, so most parcels land 4–9 business days after ordering, with the tracking number emailed as the label scans.

How much is shipping?

Orders of $42.00 or more ship free inside the United States; under that, The Bird Store charges a flat $6.95.

Do you ship outside the United States?

Can I collect my order from the shop?

What can I pay with?

The Bird Store takes card payments at checkout, alongside Afterpay and Klarna, on a form that belongs to the payment provider rather than to this website, and the order can also be settled in cash on delivery.

Can I return something?

Yes, as long as the item is unused and in its original packaging, within 30 days of delivery — and where The Bird Store made the mistake, the return postage is ours. The The Bird Store conditions are set out in full on the Refund and Returns Policy page.

How fast are refunds?

The Bird Store issues the refund within within 5 business days after we receive the returned item of the return arriving, and your bank usually adds a day or two on top.

Can I cancel an order?

Yes, provided The Bird Store has not picked the order yet, which in practice means within about twelve hours on a business day; after that it becomes a return.

Is my payment secure?

The Bird Store never receives a full card number: payment is taken on the provider’s own PCI DSS compliant form.
