Refund and Returns Policy

What we can accept

We can only accept goods that are unused and complete, in their original packaging, with any protective seal unbroken.

• Glass feeders that arrive broken are replaced or refunded on receipt of a photograph – do not send them back, as glass in the post is a hazard.
• A feeder that has held nectar cannot be returned. Once sugar solution has been through it, it is not resaleable, so please decide before filling.
• Unused feeders in their original box may be returned within the window, including ant moats and bee guards supplied with them.

Starting a return

1. Start by writing to care@abirdhaven.shop with the order number. A return authorisation follows within two business days, along with the return address.
2. Pack the item in its original packaging, with the authorisation reference enclosed, and post it to the address we give you.
3. You pay to send an item back if you simply changed your mind. If the fault is ours, so is the postage.
4. Refunds are issued to the original payment method within five business days of the goods reaching us and being checked. Outbound delivery is not refunded unless the fault was ours.

Faulty or incorrect goods

Where goods are defective we refund everything, delivery included, or replace them – your choice. Photographs speed the process up considerably.

Exchanges

We do not process exchanges as a single transaction. Return the original item for a refund and place a new order for the replacement; that way the second item is reserved from stock immediately rather than waiting on the first parcel reaching us.
